Happy New Year! After a quiet break over Christmas, we ended 2020 with a flurry of activity over here at the New Dining Hall! With Tony and Conin, Onno and Johanna and several Wahlstroms we had insulation going in, wires all over the kitchen, and final measurements for the kitchen cabinets. #PRBC #NewDiningHall #2020 #GreatWorkers #GreatProgress

After a lot of back and forth with our cabinet maker, appliance dealer and gas fitter, it looks like we finally have a working layout for the kitchen that fits everything in! The guys are starting to work on the upstairs interior walls! Soon we'll be able to actually walk into the kitchen and look out into the dining hall from the serving window Unfortunately the zoom boom doesn't like the winter temperatures and decided not to start. Did winter come and go already? These last few days we have had beautiful weather - clear sunny skies and warm temperatures have been melting the snow, making it feel like spring! Dean and Caleb have been going hard on the roof trying to get it done before the next weather system moves in. Today the cold blew in again along with some rain. But the guys were able to finish the roofing!!! My folks and Araunah also came up to help finish getting the camp ready for winter. Thank

The new propane tank came in for the dining hall! With the size of the BTU (heat load) from the kitchen and furnaces, it looks like we will be needing two tanks tied together to supply the new building. Well, winter has arrived. The guys only had a few nice days for roofing this week before the snow chased them off the roof. They moved indoors to finish installing the top, rounded windows in the gable ends of the dining hall. Praying for some more sunny, warm days ahead. #PRBC #NewDiningHall #Winter
